    Stuck, advice needed

    This may be a simple problem, but I've been trying to find my way out of it for about 24 hours now with no luck.

    I'm not 100% sure when I created my account (though I've been a forum member since may of 2008) so my character has been around for at least that long. I'm throwing this info out there because I'm not sure if the "old character in a new system" thing might be at play here. I have not logged on to BBO since at least early August, and I only play occasionally.

    When I logged on yesterday, I was in Athens. I was going to meet a friend in another city, so I attempted to sail. In the dialogue box, it told me "You cannot sail off until you level up to level 20, and finish the quest 'Preparation for Voyage.'" After wandering around Athens, I managed to stumble on the quest. I have done everything until the point of getting 50 sailors on a ship. I have attempted to rebuild my ship so that I can get the 50 sailor mark, but that would require a ship at level 20 and I believe mine is only 12. I've tried to find a way out of the quest entirely, but I'm pretty sure this is the new intro system that BBO has set up. I can't level up my ship without sailing, but I can't sail without leveling up my ship.
